Jewels is the seventh studio album by Waylon Jennings, released in 1968 on RCA Victor. It was produced by Chet Atkins and recorded at RCA Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The album reflects Jennings' transition towards a more personal sound, though still under Atkins' polished production.
The album includes a mix of original songs and covers, notably the single "Walk On Out of My Mind", which reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Other notable tracks are "I Got You" and "The Days of Sand and Shovels", the latter written by Bobby Braddock.
Although not one of Jennings' most remembered albums, Jewels showcases his growing confidence as a vocalist and his ability to interpret country ballads with emotion. The album did not chart on the Billboard Top Country Albums list, but it is valued by collectors for its vocal quality and Atkins' production.
