Right Track was Wilson Pickett's sixteenth studio album, released in 1981 on EMI America. It marked a return to collaboration with Jerry Wexler, who had produced his biggest hits on Atlantic Records in the 1960s.
The album was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Alabama, featuring renowned session musicians. It includes a mix of funk, soul, and R&B, with songs written by Pickett and other composers.
Despite the quality of production, the album did not achieve major commercial success, peaking at number 159 on the Billboard 200. It is considered a minor work in his discography but appreciated by collectors.
